Maine Roadtrip

Our destination turned out to be neither the Cape nor Canada. Instead, after about an hour in Boston-area traffic and another hour and a half driving into New Hampshire, Kat gave us a call (rather, returned our calls of the past couple days) as we were passing through Concord. As it turned out she had the weekend off from camp, so we headed straight across New Hampshire towards Portland, Maine.

On Friday night we hung out with some of Kat’s friends, ate some food, and watched a movie. (All of this without taking any pictures, sadly.) On Saturday we got up late and had a great meal (and even greater beer) at The Great Lost Bear before driving to the Portland Head Light. (At last, a chance to take some pictures.) I spent a good bit of time shooting with my Nikon SLR, but some of the digital shots are now online.

It’s too bad our time in Maine was only a day long, but it was really good to see Kat, and to see Maine (and New Hampshire), and to get out of Boston, if only for a day or two. We made great time on our drive back in mostly pouring rain until the last five miles or so which took the better part of an hour.

Anyway, it was a really good trip, and a great way to wrap up this run on the east coast. I fly back to LA on Tuesday, and expect to stay in the LA area for about a month before driving back East with Adam.

Yeah, I like those as well. I think I got some really good black and white shots on film, but I won’t know until I have the roll developed after I get back to LA.

good for you, actually using real film… black and white no less… sounds like you are ready for some abandoned buildings…

Also, I demand an explanation as to why the half-naked picture of me from the trip didn’t make the cut.

If you’d like the half-naked picture added to the album, just say the word. I usually don’t add photos like that without the people expressing an opinion one way or the other.

I’m all for half naked pictures of me being in as many places as possible. Did my first post not make it? It was by far the better and more interesting one. And it made starting the second one with “also” make some sense.

I’ll add that picture to the album, then. Your first comment yesterday was posted to the RDF Inferencing page. And, yes, it does put the “Also…” into context, but only when you know what quote you were referring to.
