Turning on the television just now, four sequential stations had concurrent news coverage about the E. coli infested spinach fiasco. Maybe the DHS should bump the threat level or something.

When I heard last night that the Supreme Court had made a ruling in favor of MGM in the Grokster case, I was pretty upset. This is clearly an issue of a technology that has enormous potential for legal uses, and is therefore covered by the 1984 Sony decision. As it turns out, that’s what the court of appeals thought, too, and it’s rather irrelevant in this case.

If a picture was taken “at an angle,” applying transformations to a digital representation of the picture to make it appear as if it were “taken square on” doesn’t change the fact that it was, in fact, taken “at an angle”.
