Motorator

Motorator logoMatt is working hard on his latest company, and I thought I’d toss out a link:

Motorator.com is “the first community-driven performance automotive destination.”

I don’t know much about cars (though I’d like to know more) but, from what I’ve heard, Motorator sounds pretty interesting. Taking years of experience at Cnation and Bizrate (and years of being car geeks), the Motorator team is developing a site that will allow enthusiasts to find automotive parts and make purchases in one location with a single transaction. The technology backing something like this is pretty complex, but with a team that’s got lots of experience (some of it coming from the dot-com era when we designed incredibly complex sites for companies that turned around and went out of business *cough*atAirport*cough*) it’ll be interesting to see what they come up with.

The site’s got a weblog up right now, and they’ll be rolling out more sometime soon.
