Online with a Mobile

Why is it that I used to use my Ericsson R280 to read content online quite a bit more than I ever did with my Sony Ericsson T68i, and the T68i got used quite a bit more than my current K700? In fact, I’ve all but given up on using the internet on my K700 because of how bad the interface is. It’s all I can do to type in two text fields to get directions with Google Maps.

Thinking about it some more, my R280 wasn’t capable of running games. My T68i had some really addictive games, though, and I used to play them all the time. My K700 got rid of all the fun games, and replaced them with two horrible 3D games (tennis and river rafting) that I never play because they’re no fun.

I keep hoping that upgrading will improve the situation but all it seems to be doing is taking money from my wallet and getting rid of the features I use. All of this comes up because the joystick on my K700 is breaking, and the battery has been fading fast (my phone now turns itself off mid-ring if the battery indicator is below one third).

I’m thinking of trying one of Nokia’s new Nseries “phones”. I’ve been eyeing the N70 for quite a while, but haven’t been able to commit. The N73 and N93 look pretty sweet, too, but they seem generally unavailable at this point.
