Beer Festival
The Beer Festival was excellent. Joining Simon, Ben and I were Cate, Amanda and Christian. There was some confusion as to where tickets were to be purchased/picked up, but after that, things went smoothly for the most part.
I was happy to see Unibroue, Chimay and Stone present, joined by quite a few local microbrewers and imported specialties. There were far too many choices, but in the end, here’s what I had:

In addition, I tasted quite a few that the others had, including the Stone Vertical Epic 04.04.04, Rock Bottom Peach Lambic, Weyerbacher QUAD, and the Shelton Brothers Framboise. I had been hoping that Dogfish Head would have an IPA present, but sadly they were only offering Festina Lente (whose taste doesn’t live up to its wonderful aroma), Raison d’Etre and Raison d’Extra, neither of which interest me terribly.
I’ll be posting pictures from the festival as soon as I retrieve my camera from Shuli’s car. Overall, a wonderful time.
