We ended up at the South Portland Library fall book sale, and loaded up a bag. Between the book sales at South Portland and the local Providence Library, I’ve just acquired the following:
- Arthur C. Clarke / Rendezvous With Rama
- J.R.R. Tolkien / The Hobbit
- Ben Bova / Mars
- Richard C. Hoagland / The Monuments of Mars
- Billy P. Glass / Introduction to planetary geology
- T. A. Heppenheimer / Colonies in Space
- Gen. James H. Doolittle / I Could Never Be So Lucky Again
- Richard Curtis / Ralph Nader’s Crusade
- Tracy Kidder / The Soul of a New Machine
- Otto P. Schinnerer / Beginning German
- Motorola / MC68000 16-bit Microprocessor User’s Manual
All for about three dollars.
And as a late birthday present, Ben gave me The 9/11 Commission Report, inscribed with the note:
To Greg,
This read is “whimisically delightful… a light hearted romp.”
Enjoy!
Awesome. Thank you Ben!
