MSCL and Updates

I’m down at Wheaton again, this time to make good on the My So Called Life marathon Laurel and I have been promising each other for months. Seeing her also allowed me to get a translation of the latin in the Two Cathedrals episode of West Wing. For my own reference, the translation is:

Am I really to believe these are the acts of a loving God? A just God? A wise God? To hell with your punishments. I was your servent here on earth. And I spread your word and I did your work. To hell with your punishments. To hell with you.

Today, I’ve been plowing through old links that have been sitting around my desktop. I’m down twenty or thirty, with another hundred or so to go (as well as the hundred that just showed up in NetNewsWire a few minutes ago). Just a reminder that the ones I think are worth remembering either show up on my links page (the exceptional ones), or my del.icio.us page (most things go here).

Back to Boston in a few hours.

Just thought you should know Bravo is continuing its schedule of showing an episode of West Wing at noon and repeating the episode at 11am the next day. Today, the episode Two Cathedrals was on at noon, so I have the chance to watch it again tomorrow. I did catch the part with the Latin, and while the whole episode was a bit overdramatic, I suppose that’s what television does in order to make us feel better about ourselves.

But television also takes away Columbo and replaces it with Celebrity Poker. Now who knows when they’ll re-air the episode starring both Peter Falk and Johnny Cash…
