OSCON Photos

Gregory WilliamsCasey West writes in The Now Me Picture,

I’ve been using a photo Julian Cash took of me back at OSCON 2001 as the “yeah, this is what I look like” photo ever since. Problem is, I don’t look like that anymore.

Funny, because I do the same thing. Except, for me, it’s his photos from 2002; His photos of me from 2001, which featured my Manic Street Preachers t-shirt and BSD horns, seem to have fallen off of the internet. My foaf file lists one of the 2002 photos as my depiction, but the shots of me in my more recently posted photo albums are more representative of a current depiction (with purple hair, no mohawk): With Dan, With group at Rosecliff.

(Also funny, as I too have a “geek.” shirt that’s falling apart that I’ve been wearing for years.)

Is that a senior photo or something? I only ask because it’s either a studio shot or very well photoshopped.

Also.. brood much? grin The recent photos make you look much more.. friendly.. though i think it’s all in the smile.. the mohawk rocks so hard.. but have been biased in favor of ‘hawks since I was eight.

Jaa~~

It’s a photo shot by Julian Cash at the 2002 Open Source Conference. Not quite a studio, but it might as well have been; He’s very good.

Also, I wasn’t brooding in the photo I linked to above as “2002”. A rare smile. Albeit one at others’ expense.

Point.

The “rare” smile in the 2002 photo is infectious! You need to do that more often! Smile more, even if it’s only cause I commanded!

Smile if only for the fact that you don’t have British teeth.

Yea, I’m digging the picture….if you’d have given me a blow dryer when we were in vegas, I could have made that gel work. I want another go at it.

julian’s photos are very good. but, as sara said, you should smile more often… it’s good for you =)

And the resounding support for my idea has given me the confidence boost I need to start lording over people and ordering them to do my bidding! HAHAHA… erm.. no.. not really.

i know ever one who has commented. creepy.

and since i’ve worked on ben’s hawk for all of this last semester (except three times) i can assuradly say that steve, no hair dryer no matter how powerful would have been able to hold his hair up. or at least, i think so…
