Sad news in the world of political philosophy. Susan Okin, feminist political theorist, dead at 57:

Susan Moller Okin, a renowned political philosopher, was found dead at her home in Lincoln, Mass., on March 3. She was 57.

i dont know about the whole, “according to her ex, foul play and suicide are ruled out”. didnt o.j. say the same thing about his ex?

no way! more people need to die. just less of the cool ones. this planet is overcrowded with douche-bags and lame0os as it is.

actually if any one’d be willing to grant me my birthday wish (really i can receive this at any time, birthdays just seem apropriate) for the ability to decide who lives and who dies, i’d appreciate it lots! i’m sure i could help you out ben (or whomever gives me this gift of gifts) and do some favors…just paint the people you’d want to survive with sheep’s blood. i’ll do my best ;]

I’de be interested to know what she wrote, I’m in a political philosophy course this quarter, and It would be interesting to escape outside the bounds of the class.

I can recommend Justice, Gender, and the Family. It’s a good look at justice for women in the public and private spheres.
