Johnny Cash died just minutes ago. This is truly a sad moment in the world of music. I can’t even begin to describe how much I’ve grown to love Cash’s music in the last five years.
None of the online media outlets seem to be carying the story yet, but NPR’s Morning Edition announced it in the first minute of the 3AM PDT airing. CNN has an earlier story announcing Cash’s release from the hospital early yesterday.
Update: CNN.com is now running the headline on it’s breaking news ticker, but there’s no story yet.
