If the movie captures what Tokyo is like to first time visitors, how is that unfair to Japanese? The situation in the movie is blatantly from the point of view of first time visitors. Bah.
‘Lost in Translation’ doesn’t translate well in Japan:The Australian chef at the Hyatt opined that “Lost in Translation” captures what Tokyo is like to first time visitors. “But now that I’ve lived here for two years, I think it isn’t fair to Japanese.”
