The Guardian of the Web
September 19, 2003 12:13 PM

An excellent interview with Guardian Unlimited Editor in Chief Emily Bell in which she discusses how the Guardian became the second most popular British news site with only modest investment.

The Guardian of the Web:

“We’ve invested in [The Guardian online edition] because it’s the right place to be, and now you find that you’ve got an international audience that we haven’t marketed to. We didn’t try to get 2 or 3 or 4 million overseas readers. It just happened.”
