Just got back from spending the weekend in Albany with Tim and Gary.

Highlights:

• Mahar’s Public Bar. Wonderful beer selection, and vibe from this place. Strange setting inside, though.
• Old World Wine Bar. Good tapas and very knowledgeable wait staff interested in making sure you have a great wine experience.
• Driving to Mass MOCA in the rain.
• Desserts at Cold Springs Coffee Roasters on the Williams campus. I feel like this is what Wheaton’s Lyon’s Den could have been if it had a large enough customer base to support itself.
• Breakfasts at Ramona’s.
• Midnight ice cream sandwiches.
• The entire bar bursting into chorus with Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody.
• Western Massachusetts’ beautiful fall foliage.

Sketchy:

• The Emergency Alert System broadcasting a creepy voice repeating over and over, “They took the crosstown bus.” This was just creepy.
