Updates

OK. Everyday since getting back, I’ve promised myself that I’d post an update. And sure enough, every day I’d not do it.
But today is different. Today is the day that I get back into the habit of posting. I swear.
There are new pictures online:
- Portland to Arcata: Fort Cody, a giant Lincoln head, and a Wyoming sunset.
- Arcata and McKinleyville: Another roadtrip, another raccoon, redwood forests, and Simon’s family.
- Emma’s First Birthday: Family and friends in Santa Monica for Emma’s birthday.
- Los Angeles to New Orleans: Including some mini golf in LA, a photo from the 4th of July shindig, and lots of desert.
- New Orleans: Stormy clouds over the Mississippi, Jazz in the French Quarter, and Jackson Square.
- New Orleans to New York: A rather dull set of (mostly) road signs.
- A Night in New York: A night out drinking with Tim, Gary, Bernadette, and Simon.

It keeps slipping my mind, but I meant to tell you and Simon that I got your postcard from Fort Cody and I showed it to my brother. Young naivety can be so endearing. He asked me, “Is it named for me?” I did explain to him that it was named after someone else and he was slightly disappointed.
