With any luck, Adam will get back in about 14 hours. I’ve been rushing to make the most of his laptop while I’ve still got it, and have finished getting all of the roadtrip and Ireland pictures online. Hand annotation has yet to happen for most of the pictures, but they’ve all got date and time, geospatial data, and EXIF data (camera make and model, exposure time, and aperture).

There are now 8642 photos, all at least partially annotated, on this site (not all of them have been publicly announced yet, however). This represents 105093 RDF statements and a mind-numbing number of hours of work. I’ll be posting links to these photos in the coming days as I do some more hand annotating, and gallery generating.

Thank you for your patience. It’s been rather quiet around here for a while, and this is why; This is basically all I’ve been doing for the past five weeks. I hope it’s as enjoyable to look at as it has been to hack on.

Oh, believe me, it’s quite enjoyable to look at. I’m busy trying to do much of the same things you seem to have, except in PHP. I’m trying to write an image upload page that extracts the EXIF info and auto-generates the RDF. Sadly, I never have enough time to do everything I want to.
