Photo Pages
Almost all the photos in the pictures section now have individual pages describing who appears in the picture, the date and location at which the picture was taken, and the camera used to take the picture. This data is being pulled from:
- Home-made RDF annotations
- EXIF data
- File and directory naming conventions
The RDF is solid. Some of the EXIF data is wrong, and some of the EXIF parsers I’m using break on a few of the images, but for the most part, it works. And at some point, I need to get around to ditching the reliance on naming conventions, and pull all the remaining data out of the RDF.
So that was a long time in the coming. Next items on the wishlist are restoring higher quality images for some of the older photo albums (perhaps also giving an option of image size), and hopefully getting a dynamic image search implemented in order to make use of all the RDF sitting around.
