Atari Scene

A recent O’Reilly article on the Homebrew Atari scene makes me think that an Atari based demo scene would be really cool.
The system has no video buffer, the total code size cannot exceed 4K and can only use 128 bytes of RAM, and, adds Simon Quernhorst, “you even have to share that with the processor stack.
There were a lot of really great demos under 4k back in the day, and I can’t begin to imagine the kind of joy a demo encased in a 2600 cartridge would bring me.

it’s much easier to do 4KB intros these days. the instruction sets of the recent computer allow you many things while on old cpus you can’t do a simple division.
