The Dentist

I feel as if I’m involved in this conversation far too often:
dentist: you’re doing a much better job at brushing your teeth since last time.
me: thanks. that’s good to hear.
dentist: oh, and by the way, you have two cavities.
So now I’ve got a numb mouth, and I’m out $500 for two fillings.
::grumble grumble::
