Beer

It was funny in a depressing sort of way that we all showed up with the same beer. We stopped off at a Bristol Farms to pick up some drinks to take to the party. We decided a bottle of Lindemans Cassis Lambic would make a fine gift for the host based on having had Lindemans Pêche which is fantastic. Then it was a toss up between Unibroue and Chimay. Chimay Grand Reserve, at $9.00, was a bit pricey, yet the Unibroue offerings were limited to Maudite and La Fin du monde. I settled on Maudite as it’s darker than La Fin du monde, and we drove to Orange County while munching on chips. We got there, only to find a table full of Lindemans Lambic, Chimay Grand Reserve, and Unibroue La Fin du monde bottles.

The only thing that saved us was the six pack of Pyramid Tilted Kilt scotch ale. Which wasn’t all that good. Sigh.
