There was a racoon perched on the roof as I arrived home this evening. It was sitting perfectly still watching me as I watched it, but as soon as I got closer perked up. I’ve never heard of a racoon pouncing on anything, but the idea that one could and might was enough to limit me to only one flash photo. It’s too bad its eyes blew out the contrast. When I had gone inside, set my things down and come back out to take some more pictures, it had gone away.
