End of the Summer

I live my life by the punctuated hum and vibration of the General Electric turbines that carry me between my lives on either coast.
The samo fools went out drinking tonight at the local irish pub (with a stop over at Liz’s first for margaritas and conversation). Good times, but the conversation inevitably turned to the issue of bride’s maids, and relationships in general. Christy’s name came up, and it bothers me just how many of the fools think that the attraction was only and always based on physical appearance. I remember with fondness how Nick and I used to play, in a pleasantly role-reversed way, with Christy and some other girls back at Franklin. And even back then, she was amazing. Just good to be around.
