Nearing the Missouri border in Kansas, two semis smashed into each other, and both jack-knifed. One headed off onto the shoulder and then dropped fifteen feet into the ditch beside the road. The other crashed into the concrete divider, rode up on top of it, and promptly caught fire. Billowing black smoke and flames leaping twenty feet into the air provided a nice spectacle for the gawking crowd we found ourselves in for the next hour. That sucked.
