Too Big

Last week I saw my uncle and the new house he’s building, and it’s whacked. Ten thousand square feet for one person (or possibly two). The place has some absurd number of fireplaces (ten or more, i believe), a dining room with vaulted ceiling that must be over thirty feet high, a wine cellar, video room (mini-theatre style), and an impressive 180 degree view of the Santa Ynez valley and mountains. It’s impressive, but repulsive in the worst conspicuous consumption sort of way. The great part is that, on the books, it’s only a two bedroom house.

What’s great about him cheating the people who need more than a house with 10 fireplaces -

Is he THAT deserving ??
