Kasey Chambers’ newest album, Barricades & Brickwalls has the most wonderful Hank Williams-esque twang in track number five, A Little Bit Lonesome. On my first listen, I wasn’t sure I was going to like this album as much as The Captain, but it’s growing on me at an alarming rate.
Other picks are the title track Barricades & Brickwalls and Not Pretty Enough. Unfortunately, the style of music will likely keep most of my friends from appreciating Chambers’ beautiful voice and intoxicatingly heartbroken lyrics.
